Uitonkämppä rental hut (3 rooms and a kitchen), an old log floaters' cabin, was renovated in the early 1990s. The hut is ideal for school and college groups, nature associations and clubs, and for nature-themed courses and instruction. There is also a sauna in the yard.
A rental hut is a place for an overnight stay that can be rented for only your use.
Creating a user account is worthwhile. As a logged-in customer, you do not need to pay for your reservation immediately. You can also cancel unpaid reservations yourself. Create a user account.
Tip: If you reserve huts for multiple trips, make separate orders for each trip. This way, you can choose to pay for each trip's reservation only 14 days before the start of the reservation. Changes won't be made to reservations made from May 5, 2025.
The reservation day for shared rental huts, rental huts and other rental structures begins at 2 pm and ends at 12 noon.
Bring along your invoice and proof of payment to the hut.
By following the hut etiquette, you ensure that the use of hut is smooth. Learn about the hut etiquette (luontoon.fi).
A foreign company can place an order in the company's name only as an unregistered customer.
The use of the hut and other structures for business operations requires a permit from Metsähallitus. Learn about transfer of rights of use (metsa.fi).

There is a rowing boat by the hut and the other one by Sammakkojärven sahi (500m away from Sammakkotammi towards Uitto) for transporting your belongings.
The locked firewood shed in the outbuilding of the hut includes a waste sorting point and chopped firewood for tenants of the hut.
The Uitonkämppä courtyard intersects the Tiilikan kierto Trail, so you might meet other visitors around in the courtyard.
Camping in the hut courtyard is forbidden.
The key is in a key code box on the hut wall. The box is protected with a code. Instructions and the code are sent to you by e-mail after the payment.
Take lock de-icer with you just in case the box's lid is stuck due to frost. Metsähallitus does not have maintenance on site.
Always keep the keys inside the key box, so they won’t get lost or locked inside the hut.
The key to the boat at Sammakkojärven sahi is in the key box on the wall of the equipment shelter nearby. The key combination is the same as for the Uitonkämppä rental hut.
Fireplace in the hut, cooking stove in the kitchen, a fireplace in the small room next to kitchen and firewood for heating. Please use firewood sparingly. Please note that it takes some time before the hut is properly warm.
Solar panel powered lights and 12V charging facility (a cigarette lighter socket).
We recommend using a headlamp, which leaves your hands free to do chores around the hut. For safety reasons, candles must be burned on a non-combustible surface and constantly monitored.

Although Finland has a broad network for mobile phones, there are some areas in the park without signal. If this happens try to climb to a higher place or go into an open area. Check the mobile network coverage with your mobile phone operator before your trip.
