Bookings of rental and shared rental huts, as well as other sites available for booking for 2027, will open on Tuesday May 5th 2026 at 9:00am on Eraluvat.fi.

The wording of the terms is clarified, and the new structure better reflects the customer journey in the Eräluvat.fi service. The terms also specify how and where customers can place an order, how they benefit from logging in during the ordering process, and whom to contact in case of problems or changes.

At the turn of the year, five large angling permit areas will be redistributed into 52 new permit areas. In addition, the boundaries of trap fishing permit areas will be revised. All trap fishing permits for 2025 and permits for the large angling areas must be purchased no later than 30 November 2025.

Metsähallitus will end the stocking of rainbow trout in Lake Matildanjärvi, located in Teijo National Park, at the end of 2025. However, the sale of fishing permits and supervision will continue as usual until the end of March 2026. Starting from April 2026, fishing at Matildanjärvi will be allowed under general fishing rights.

Metsähallitus announces the application period for commercial fishing permits in the Northern Lapland region for the years 2026–2028 and in other parts of Finland for the years 2026–2030. Permits should primarily be applied for electronically via the Eräluvat.fi service between September 15 and October 10, 2025, 4:15 PM.
