The hunting areas located in the southern and northern parts of the municipality of Sotkamo are mainly pine-dominant commercial forest, but there are also some protected areas of old forests. The area has moderately good game populations. There are a few wolf territories in the area, which should be taken into account when hunting with a dog.

The wording of the terms is clarified, and the new structure better reflects the customer journey in the Eräluvat.fi service. The terms also specify how and where customers can place an order, how they benefit from logging in during the ordering process, and whom to contact in case of problems or changes.
Hunting is prohibited in the nature reserves of Southern Sotkamo.
