Considering the hunting pressure, these are excellent game lands. Mostly hares and small game are hunted at the location, but grouse hunting can also be very successful. The enquiring hunter will find rolling terrains and beautiful lake shores and varying forests at the location. In Kuhmoinen, you can come across large flocks of birds swimming in narrow, clear waters during the autumn migration season. The area has excellent hazel grouse, black grouse and capercaillie populations. The area is suited for hunting with a pointing dog.
