Raatejärvi rental hut (built in 2002) is located by the Peura Trail on the northern shore of Lake Raatejärvi. The hut was refurnished in 2020. There is no longer an open wilderness hut in the yard, and the entire yard area, including the sauna, is for the tenant's use.
A rental hut is a place for an overnight stay that can be rented for only your use.
Creating a user account is worthwhile. As a logged-in customer, you do not need to pay for your reservation immediately. You can also cancel unpaid reservations yourself. Create a user account.
Tip: If you reserve huts for multiple trips, make separate orders for each trip. This way, you can choose to pay for each trip's reservation only 14 days before the start of the reservation.
The reservation day for shared rental huts, rental huts and other rental structures begins at 2 pm and ends at 12 noon.
Keep the order confirmation of your paid reservation with you. Check the information related to keys in the "Keys" section (located halfway down the page).
By following the hut etiquette, you ensure that the use of hut is smooth. Learn about the hut etiquette (luontoon.fi).
A foreign company can place an order in the company's name only as an unregistered customer.
When a company regularly takes its customers to destinations with hiking infrastructure maintained by Metsähallitus, it must have a cooperation agreement. Read more in the information bank for entrepreneurs.

The Raatejärvi rental hut is located along the Peura Trail, on the northern shore of Raatejärvi.
Kuivajärvi parking area, Kuivajärventie 700, Reisjärvi. The distance from the parking area to the hut is 1,5 km.
There is no regular winter maintenance on the road leading to the Kuivajärvi parking area.
Read more about the area and more detailed arrival instructions on Luontoon.fi.
Outside there is a coocking shelter, a sauna, a campfire site, a dry toilet, a dock and a rowing boat.
Oars and life jackets are stored in the sauna's vestibule.
The yard and its buildings are for the exclusive use of the renter.
The key is in a key code box on the hut wall. The box is protected with a code. Instructions and the code are sent to you by e-mail after the payment.
Take lock de-icer with you just in case the box's lid is stuck due to frost. Metsähallitus does not have maintenance on site.
The hut has a stove and firewood for heating. Please use firewood sparingly. Please note that it takes some time before the hut is properly warm.
The hut has no electricity. We recommend using a headlamp, which leaves your hands free to do chores around the hut. For safety reasons, candles must be burned on a non-combustible surface and constantly monitored.
A gas cooker, tableware and kitchen utensils.
There is no running water in the hut and no well in the yard.
Use the water from the lake only for bathing and washing the dishes.
Two bunk beds, mattresses, pillows, blankets.
Please bring your own linen or a sleeping bag.
Wood heated sauna in the separate building.
There is an ice saw in the hut which can be used to break the lake's ice layer in winter to get washing water. Make the opening slightly away from the pier. In this way, the pier structures remain intact.
There is a dry toilet near the hut. Please bring your own toilet paper.
There are no waste containers by the cabin. Visitors are advised to take their accumulated waste with them.
Metsähallitus follows the principles of litter-free hiking. Visitors are adviced to bring their own waste out of the area. Read more about hiking without littering (luontoon.fi).
Please clean the hut before you leave.
Although Finland has a broad network for mobile phones, there are some areas in the park without signal. If this happens try to climb to a higher place or go into an open area. Check the mobile network coverage with your mobile phone operator before your trip.
There are fire alarms at wilderness huts, but we recommend to bring a 9 V battery and/or your own travel fire alarm with you.
