The Saarijärvi rental hut is located along the Peuran polku Trail, on the shore of the Lake Saarijärvi. There is a sauna in the same building.
A rental hut is a place for an overnight stay that can be rented for only your use.
Creating a user account is worthwhile. As a logged-in customer, you do not need to pay for your reservation immediately. You can also cancel unpaid reservations yourself. Create a user account.
Tip: If you reserve huts for multiple trips, make separate orders for each trip. This way, you can choose to pay for each trip's reservation only 14 days before the start of the reservation.
The reservation day for shared rental huts, rental huts and other rental structures begins at 2 pm and ends at 12 noon.

A foreign company can place an order in the company's name only as an unregistered customer.

Saarijärvi rental hut is located at Saarijärvi lake, in the northern part of Peuran polku hiking trail.
The distance from the northern starting point of the trail, Petäjämäki Outdoor Recreation Area is approximately 8 km.
Kuivajärvi parking area, Kuivajärventie 700, Reisjärvi.
Walk 1 km towards north-east from the parking area along the Matoharjuntie-road, until you reach the Peuran polku hiking trail sign. The trail is marked with orange paint markings. Turn left towards north, and continue forward 2,5 km to the Saarijärvi rental hut.
There is no regular winter maintenance on the road leading to the Kuivajärvi parking area.
Outside there is a sauna, a campfire site, woodshed and dry toilet
There is a dock at the shore that provides good access for swimming. The shore is relatively deep and has a muddy bottom.
A rowboat and two adult life jackets are available for the renter's use.
The yard and its buildings are for the exclusive use of the renter.
The key is in a key code box on the hut wall. The box is protected with a code. Instructions and the code are sent to you by e-mail after the payment.
Take lock de-icer with you just in case the box's lid is stuck due to frost. Metsähallitus does not have maintenance on site.
The hut has a wood-burning stove and firewood for heating. Please use firewood sparingly. Please note that it takes some time before the hut is properly warm.
The hut has no electricity. We recommend using a headlamp, which leaves your hands free to do chores around the hut. For safety reasons, candles must be burned on a non-combustible surface and constantly monitored.

There is no running water in the hut and no well in the yard.
You must bring your own drinking water, use the water from the lake only for bathing and washing the dishes.
Two bunk beds, mattresses, pillows, blankets.
Please bring your own linen or a sleeping bag.
Wood heated sauna in the same building.
There is an ice saw in the hut which can be used to break the lake's ice layer in winter to get washing water. Make the opening slightly away from the pier. In this way, the pier structures remain intact.
There is a dry toilet near the hut. Please bring your own toilet paper.
There are no waste containers by the cabin. Visitors are advised to take their accumulated waste with them.
Metsähallitus follows the principles of litter-free hiking. Visitors are adviced to bring their own waste out of the area. Read more about hiking without littering (luontoon.fi).
Please clean the hut before you leave.
Mobile phone coverage is poor in this area! If this happens try to climb to a higher place or go into an open area. Check the mobile network coverage with your mobile phone operator before your trip.
The hut has a fire extinguisher and a fire blanket as well as fire alarms, but we recommend to bring a 9 V battery and/or your own travel fire alarm with you.
