Pond Ahvenlampi (approx. 5 hectares in size) is situated by the mighty fell Ukko-Luosto, right next to the center of fell resort Luosto. The pond is ideal for casting and ice fishing and it is a great angling destination for the whole family.

Keep in mind in this area

Please note that the duckboards on the western shore, stairs at the northern end and the bridge at the southern end of the pond have been removed in November 2025.

Permits needed for fishing

In this permit area, you will need an angling permit for all types of fishing. You will also be required to pay the fisheries management fee, unless you are under 18 years of age, over 70 years of age, or are 65 years of age or older as of 31 December 2023.

Hook and line fishing and ice fishing are fully prohibited in rapids and running sections of waters with migratory fish stocks (i.e. also this permit area). In still waters, such as river pools, hook and line fishing and ice fishing are permitted with one rod with an angling permit.
