After reservation

  • The reservation day for shared rental huts, rental huts and other rental structures begins at 2 pm and ends at 12 noon.

  • Keep the order confirmation of your paid reservation with you. Check the information related to keys in the "Keys" section (located halfway down the page).

  • By following the hut etiquette, you ensure that the use of hut is smooth. Learn about the hut etiquette (luontoon.fi).

Notes for entrepreneurs

  • A foreign company can place an order in the company's name only as an unregistered customer.

  • When a company regularly takes its customers to destinations with hiking infrastructure maintained by Metsähallitus, it must have a cooperation agreement. Read more in the information bank for entrepreneurs.

Cooking

  • Wood-burning stove, small pot, and coffee pot. No other dishes provided.

Drinking water

  • There is no running water in the cabin.

  • Household water can be taken from the nearby river. Natural water should be boiled before use as drinking water. The water quality is not monitored. Using natural water as drinking water is at your own risk.

  • See tips for safe drinking water on hikes at Luontoon.fi.

  • Two bunk beds, mattresses, blankets, and pillows.

  • Please bring your own sheets or a sleeping bag.

Toilet

There is a dry toilet near the hut. Please bring your own toilet paper.

Waste disposal

There are no waste containers by the cabin. Visitors are advised to take their accumulated waste with them.

Metsähallitus follows the principles of litter-free hiking. Visitors are adviced to bring their own waste out of the area. Read more about hiking without littering (luontoon.fi).

Other things to keep in mind

  • The cabin does not have accessible services.

  • Please clean the cabin before you leave.

Safety

  • There may be areas with poor mobile network coverage in the destination. In such cases, moving to higher or more open terrain may help. Check your mobile network coverage with your operator before your trip.

  • The cabins are equipped with smoke detectors, but we recommend bringing a 9V battery and/or your own portable smoke detector.
