Utajärvi hunting area is an easily accessible and versatile hunting destination in the Oulu region. There are extensive mire areas, and in the forests beside you can find grouse and hares. In the water bodies, you can find waterfowl. It is not unheard of to encounter a Canadian beaver as well.
Always take reindeer herding into account when hunting with a dog in this area. Please read the instructions under section Reindeer herding on this page.
Notice to visitors in the area: The bridge over the Kiiminkijoki River at Kurimonkoski in Utajärvi has been closed due to damage detected in the bridge structures (information updated on 30 September 2024).

The wording of the terms is clarified, and the new structure better reflects the customer journey in the Eräluvat.fi service. The terms also specify how and where customers can place an order, how they benefit from logging in during the ordering process, and whom to contact in case of problems or changes.
The state-owned water bodies of lakes Iso-Olvasjärvi and Marttisjärvi belong to the permit area.
The Kälväsvaara reindeer separating site is located in the area.
