The trap permit area includes the water areas managed by Metsähallitus located along the main course of the Kemijoki River in Rovaniemi.

Special features of the area: According to a decision issued by The Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment (ELY) for Lapland, fishers in the Kemijoki trap permit area are allowed to fish with a net from 15 August to 30 November, even though the area contains a river that is part of a migratory fish watercourse.
