Trap permit area

4030 Kalajoki and Central Ostrobothnia, state-owned waters

The Kalajoki and Central Ostrobothnia trap permit area covers the state-owned water areas listed in the water area directory within the fisheries regions of Kalajoki and Central Ostrobothnia ('Kalajoen kalatalousalue' and 'Keski-Pohjanmaan kalatalousalue'). The permit area includes approximately 4,000 hectares of water bodies. The Kalajoki River and other running waters are not included in the trap permit area.

Targeted catch: Burbot, cyprinids, perch, pike, vendace, whitefish

Permits needed for fishing

Trap fishing in this permit area always requires a trap permit. You will also be required to pay the fisheries management fee, unless you are under 18 years of age, over 70 years of age, or are 65 years of age or older as of 31 December 2023.
