Angling permits for rapids in 2027

Most anglers purchase permits for the rapids for spring and summer, although some buy permits for January and February. Permit sales usually pick up in March, when fish gather to feed on winter stoneflies and may take flies imitating them.

Rapids destinations going on sale

• 6550 Kotala rapids, Virrat (Vehmas-Koskelankoski and Kituskoski)
• 6576 Kolima-Keitele rapids route, Viitasaari (Kärnänkoski, Kellankoski and Kymönkoski)
• 6586 Keihärinkoski, Viitasaari
• 7581 Langinkoski, Kotka
• 7594 Latokartanonkoski, Salo

No permits will be sold for Karvionkoski in Heinävesi due to bridge construction.

Permits for the destinations are available until the end of August, after which the spawning protection period begins. Unlike the other destinations, permits for Langinkoski are available until the end of September. Fishing is possible again in December after the protection period.

Buy individual permits or reserve the entire rapids

Permits are available for 6 hours, 12 hours and 24 hours. You can also reserve the entire rapids. All permits will go on sale in the Eräluvat.fi service and through the customer service number +358 20 69 2424 (weekdays 9 am–3 pm) on 12 January at 9 am. Please note that the details of all anglers are required when making a reservation.

Permit prices, angler quotas and permit terms vary by destination, so please familiarise yourself with the destination information in advance.

You can reserve a maximum of 10 permits per customer. The same limit applies to reservations made through both the Eräluvat.fi service and the telephone service. There is no limit to the number of permits if they are paid for immediately. The due date for reserved permits is 14 days before the permit period begins.

If you wish to reserve permits for the rapids, remember to register with the Eräluvat.fi service. Only logged-in customers can make permit reservations.
