The landscape of this permit area, which is in the territory of two municipalities, varies from the fir forests and the rocky hills of Keminmaa to the vast mires of Simo. Martimoaapa-Lumiaapa is a more natural mire, otherwise the mires are extensively drained.
When hunting in the Martimoaava mire conservation area, take into account the amount of hikers in the area in early autumn.
