Herankaira is the easternmost permit area in the Rovaniemi region (Yläkemijoki). The area includes the former Kivalot and Kaihuavaara areas of the Finnish Forest Research Institute. Avoid hunting in the vicinity of Auttiköngäs during the camping season.
