Restoration of Kellankoski and Kärnänkoski completed

The rapids Kellankoski and Kärnänkoski, part of the Kolima–Keitele rapids route in Viitasaari, have been successfully restored during August. The permit sales interruptions caused by the restoration work are now over.

News updated on August 14, 22 and 29: Information about permit sales at Kärnänkoski has been added.

Fishing permits for Kärnänkoski will be available again starting August 29. Fishing at Kellankoski continues as normal. Permit sales were temporarily suspended at times during August due to the restoration work. The restoration did not affect Kymönkoski, which is also part of the permit area.

The sale of fishing permits for the Kolima–Keitele area has earlier been paused due to high water temperatures. Read more here.
