Crayfishing permits for summer 2027

A crayfishing permit is always purchased for a specific crayfishing area. The price of the permit depends on the number of pots or other traps covered by the permit (€8 each). The crayfishing permit is valid for the entire crayfishing season, which begins on 21 July at 12 noon and ends on 31 October.

Both the native noble crayfish and the American signal crayfish live in state-owned waters. Metsähallitus does not sell crayfishing permits for waters where noble crayfish are present. Crayfishing in state-owned waters therefore takes place only in waters inhabited by signal crayfish.
