Sauna

Valvatti sauna is located along the Hirvaan Kierros (Peuranpolku) hiking trail in Perho. In the same yard area, there is the Valvatti wilderness hut.

Reservations

• Creating a user account is worthwhile. As a logged-in customer, you do not need to pay for your reservation immediately. You can also cancel unpaid reservations yourself. Create a user account.

• Notes for entrepreneurs: The use of the hut and other structures for business operations requires a permit from Metsähallitus. Learn about transfer of rights of use (metsa.fi).

• Bring along your invoice and proof of payment.

• Tip: If you pay the sauna fee afterwards, please reserve the sauna fee in your calendar for the payment date. The sauna fee cannot be entered retroactively in the reservation system.

The nearest parkin area is around 500 meters away. The parking area of Peuranpolku Trail, Valvatti (luontoon.fi).

The sauna is always open.

Facilities

• Heating and lighting: There is no electricity in the sauna. The sauna and washing water are heated with firewood. Bring a headlamp.

• Washing: No running water. Washing water is taken from the drilled well and heated in a water cauldron. There are wash basins in the sauna for cleaning. Bring your own towel.

Sauna schedule

• The sauna is available for use by all hikers, so you should be considerate of others and not stay too long in the sauna.

• During peak seasons you should agree bathing times with other hikers, for example, take turns between men and women at alternate hours.

• The sauna cannot be reserved for private use.
