Day-use hut or campfire hut

Šiššat / Sissanki Rental Campfire Hut in Hetta, Enontekiö can be used as a break place on an excursion and it also serves as a meeting place for about 15 people. The hut is located between Paljasselkä and Sissankiselkä, along the trail from Hetta to Näkkälä and Pahtajärvi.

Reservations

Reservation times:

• Šiššat / Sissanki rental campfire hut is available for daytime reservations between 06:00 and 00:00.

• It can be reserved for 1, 3, 6, or 12 hours.

Important to note:

• Creating a user account is worthwhile. As a logged-in customer, you do not need to pay for your reservation immediately. You can also cancel unpaid reservations yourself. Create a user account.

• The rental campfire hut can be rented for only your use.

• The rental campfire hut is intended for daytime use only.

• When a company regularly takes its customers to destinations with hiking infrastructure maintained by Metsähallitus, it must have a cooperation agreement. Read more in the information bank for entrepreneurs.

• Please bring your reservation confirmation and proof of payment with you.

Arrival instructions

The rental campfire hut is located about a 7 km walk from the Fell Lapland Visitor Center in Hetta, Enontekiö. The trail can be accessed from the yard of the Visitor Center, as well as from the fitness trail starting behind the Enontekiö sports hall, where the Näkkälä trail branches off after about 1.3 km. Remember to bring a map.

Yard

There is a dry toilet and woodshed near the campfire hut.

Keys

The key is in a key code box on the hut wall. The box is protected with a code. Instructions and the code are sent to you by e-mail after the payment. Take lock de-icer with you just in case the box's lid is stuck due to frost. Metsähallitus does not have maintenance on site.

Facilities

• Heating and lighting: There is no heat-storing heater in the hut. The campfire hut has an open fireplace. Please use firewood sparingly. There is no electricity at the hut.

• Cooking: There is a coffee pot is provided, but cups, other dishes, and utensils must be brought by the renter.

• Drinking water: There is no running water in the campfire hut. There is a water source along the Pahtajärvi trail, about 100 meters from the hut. It is recommended to boil natural water before using it as drinking water. Using natural water as drinking water is at your own risk.

• Waste disposal: Please clean the hut before you leave. There is a recycling point at the Fell Lapland Visitor Center.
