Day-use hut or campfire hut

Pallaskota Rental Campfire Hut is nestled among mountain birches, less than one kilometer from the Pallastunturi parking area. It accommodates up to 20 people and offers a peaceful setting for groups to enjoy a break and make coffee over an open fire at the foot of the fell.

Reservations

Reservation times:

• Pallaskota rental campfire hut is available for daytime reservations between 06:00 and 00:00.

• It can be reserved for 1, 3, 6, or 12 hours.

Important to note:

• Creating a user account is worthwhile. As a logged-in customer, you do not need to pay for your reservation immediately. You can also cancel unpaid reservations yourself. Create a user account.

• Notes for entrepreneurs: When a company regularly takes its customers to destinations with hiking infrastructure maintained by Metsähallitus, it must have a cooperation agreement. Read more in the information bank for entrepreneurs.

• The Rental Campfire Hut can be rented for only your use.

• Please bring your reservation confirmation and proof of payment with you.

Arrival instructions

Pallaskota is located approximately one kilometer from the Pallastunturi parking area.

Yard and surroundings

Next to the Rental Campfire Hut, there is a campfire site, an open campfire hut, a woodshed, and an accessible dry toilet.

Keys

The key is in a key code box on the hut wall. The box is protected with a code. Instructions and the code are sent to you by e-mail after the payment. Take lock de-icer with you just in case the box's lid is stuck due to frost. Metsähallitus does not have maintenance on site.

Facilities

• Heating and Lighting: There is no electricity in the hut.

• Cooking: Coffee pots are provided, but you must bring your own cups, dishes, and utensils.

• Drinking Water: There is no running water. If using natural water, it should be boiled before drinking. Use at your own risk.

• Waste Disposal: A recycling point is available at the Pallastunturi parking area.

• We recommend bringing your own seat pad.

Instructions for the user of the site

• Each user of the site is responsible for keeping the site clean. The site does not have regular maintenance.

• Please note that Metsähallitus sites are wilderness‑like and modest, and the indoor areas may contain, for example, insects, rodents, and their droppings.
