Sauna

The Suomu Rental Sauna by the shore is located in Patvinsuo National Park. The rental season runs from mid-May to the end of October. The sauna can be rented for only your use.

Reservations

• Creating a user account is worthwhile. As a logged-in customer, you do not need to pay for your reservation immediately. You can also cancel unpaid reservations yourself. Create a user account.

• Notes for entrepreneurs: The use of the hut and other structures for business operations requires a permit from Metsähallitus. Learn about transfer of rights of use (metsa.fi).

• Bring along your invoice and proof of payment.

• The sauna is 400 meters from the parking area. It is not possible to drive to the sauna.

Keys

The key is in a key code box on the hut wall. The box is protected with a code. Instructions and the code are sent to you by e-mail after the payment.

Facilities

The sauna is suitable for approximately 7 bathers. Overnight stays in the sauna are prohibited. The renter is responsible for cleaning up after themselves.

• Heating and lighting: Each sauna session lasts 3 hours and includes time for heating the sauna. Guests are responsible for heating the sauna themselves. In summer, the sauna heats up in about 60 minutes. The sauna and washing water are heated with firewood. The sauna is equipped with solar-powered lighting.

• Washing: No running water. Washing water is taken from the nearby lake or well and heated in a water cauldron. The steam room has a separate stove and water cauldron for heating water. Washing is done in the steam room. The building also includes a changing room and a porch with benches. There are wash basins in the sauna for cleaning. Bring your own towel.

• Yard: There is a dry toilet and a wood shed next to the sauna. Bring toilet paper with you. The distance to the nearby camping area is about 300 meters; the area features a cooking shelter, a campfire site, and a well. The nearest waste disposal point is at the Suomu parking area, approximately 500 meters away. The shore is shallow and sandy.
