Kaamasjoki, Kielajoki 1583

Permits become available on 18 May 2020 at 9 M.

The Rivers Kielajoki and Kaamasjoki form a new, independent permit area that runs into Lake Muddusjärvi from the Peltotunturi Fells over a stretch of some 90 km. Kiellajoki is the largest tributary of Kaamasjoki and the waters in Kiellajoki between Kaamanen and the Karigasniemi road bridge have been protected from all fishing by officials of the Inari fishing area for years. This protection aimed to secure the natural spawning of trout that rise up the Kaamasjoki and Kiellajoki Rivers from Lake Muddusjärvi, which means the waters in the area are not treated with plantings but the fish stock relies on natural reproduction.
